This afternoon, before the reiki class disbanded, we pulled out the Voyager Tarot and asked, “What healing gifts from this weekend do we take out into the world?” We got the Woman of Crystals.
We took turns latching on to a part of the card image and letting it speak to us. The answers we received were:
-
Minds that are clear, open, peaceful, and centred
-
Openness and clarity that allow us to channel healing from Source to Earth
-
Clarity of vision to bring light into the world
-
The remembrance that we are internally flawless
-
The sense of being guardians of a beautiful, simple tradition
-
A desire to practise that helps reiki to flow that gives us the desire to practise that helps reiki to flow…
Thank you to Liz, Jen, Monique, and Sue for these beautiful insights!
Just last night at our Tarot Meetup…I was working with a partner on this very card. We did the Past, Present and Future split that Geraldine had suggested.
We noticed then that the card has a lovely symetry to it….the hands and crystals on either side of her face are almost identical…balance.
My partner perked up and said…oh yea…I’m a Gemini!
It IS a stunning card. The gem in the hands often reminds me of a scrying sphere. I also enjoy the card’s symmetry. Something’s in the air re: the Sage of Crystals. I wonder what’s up?
James, I often notice that you mention your reikki practice together with Tarot. Do you use both tarot and reikki together with clients. together with students? Some months ago the thought occured to me that reikki together with tarot might be an excellent healing tool. But I have never got any further than that. What do you have to say about that?
Hi Anna,
I tend to keep the two processes cleanly apart. A reiki session to offer energy, a tarot session to offer information. That said, a reiki client/student will sometimes want to pull a card to respond to, “How can I best support my wellbeing between treatments?” or I’ll pull a card to begin or end a reiki class.
