Last night, I was working and playing with the Healing Earth Tarot . The Death card came up for me. I love the key phrase in the accompanying book: “the dance of the great let go“. In the spirit of this card, I offer you, my blogfriends, this layout to do for yourself and/or friends and clients. Peace!
3 4
1 2
1. What is truly dead for me?
2. How can I gracefully let it go?
3. Who might I become as a result of this letting go?
4. How can I respect who I become?

Thanks for this layout, James. So incredibly appropriate for me at this point in time. (my husband and I are separating). I am also touching on “Death” in tonight’s tarot class, so I think I shall be passing this along to my students.

Thank you, James. In the world of synchronicity…I too needed this very much today. I am preparing to move and it looks like I’m leaping into outer space. I need to remind myself that there are things I must let go of.

Greetings, James!
Thank you so much for this spread. I used it last night in my end of day meditations with the Gaian deck.
In answer to the first question (what is truly dead for me), I received 0, The Seeker. “Oh, no!” I thought, “I love the Seeker,” but card 3 (what might I become) was 2, The High Priestess. As I imagine you remember, the women is both old and young or perhaps can be seen as moving from one age to another. “Ah,” I thought, “the Seeker is ready to grow up and instead of always looking for the new, she is ready to share the wisdom of what has already been learned.” Paying close attention to the pictures – which were actually next to each other in the way that I laid them out – brought this insight together for me.
I think of cards 2 and 4 of the layout as the support cards and actually placed them underneath cards 1 and 3. Card 2 was 17, The Star (grace in the graceful position!) and Card 3 was 16, Lightening (yikes! but makes so much sense).
I will be reflecting on this for a while.
Be well,
Carolyn

I’m happy to hear that people find this layout useful. Amazing how many people are ready to let something go.
Carolyn, I love that you used the Gaian deck and found such a great story in the images.

Just have to add my thanks and “so perfect for me right now” too. I’m going to use this tonight.

I loved this layout and found it both timely and very useful. It prompted a refection reading for me as well .
1. What is truly alive for me?
2. How can I gracefully allow it in?
3. Who might I become as a result of letting it in?
4. How can I respect who I become?
I appreciate how it connected me to the awareness that endings and beginnings happen in the same space.
How can I honor what is leaveing and accept what is arriving with grace.
Thank you as usual for expressing your light.
Clarissa
