Hello Sir James:

We are gone from one another's present but the memory lingers with us still. As Thalassa says, "the body remembers," and so we can honor that as we dance our joy.
One of my teachers, SunRaven, always said: Beltane is not just a holiday, it's a state of mind. We can carry that state of mind in every moment of the Now.
There was something ecstatic and Beltane-esque about the Readers' Studio, n'est-ce pas? So we can carry that into our now as well.
Blessed be NOW.

In Manhattan the cold didn't stop protestors from taking over Union Square Park. I have no idea what the protest was about thsi time but it was noisy and there were lots of police.

But the weather is getting warmer. I remember as a kid I could actually smell the changing of the seasons. Every so often I still get a whiff of it.

But Happy Beltane to all!

It's cold and chilly here today (a springtime chilly - not so bad), so, no Maypole. But I did make sure to get out to Prospect Park for a little gratitude walk - complete with walnuts for the squirrels. :)

I can't believe it's May already. Thank you for the NOW reminder - so true!
